Re: Stupid things your customers have asked

OK....gotta admit this one as it's on me. When I was 16, I had a light beige Toyota 4x4. I took it off road all the time. One time, I had scratches from branches off a trail we went down. For some reason, my friend and I thought a Brillo pad would get rid of the scratches. Holy schnikees!!! You guys can imagine what it looked like. After my Pops explained to me, in the most derogatory tone you can imagine, that Brillo pads don't work that way, I was introduced to a rotary and compound.

Re: Stupid things your customers have asked

Just yesterday I had a guy ask, "You'll clean and condition my leather seats? Oh, what good does that do? Like use shower conditioner on them?" ..... -_-

Re: Stupid things your customers have asked

I had just finished a sickening interior job for some lady who wasn't smart in the slightest. She paid by credit card and when I told her to sign her name using her finger, she asked if she could sign using her key. On my iPhone.

Re: Stupid things your customers have asked

At first...The following did seem stupid:

I once had a well-heeled client offer me $100,000 to sleep with my Wife.
Right off the bat I got pi$$ed.

But...
After going home that night (and looking at the stack of bills that had been piling-up)...

I then thought to myself: Why Not!!
(There had been rumors of a pending divorce anyway.)

Long story short:
Behind every successful Man is a Woman willing to bend backwards.

Remember:
This happened back in 1993 on the heels of the blockbuster success of: "Indecent Proposal".

I really don't know offhand if this practice still goes on, or not.
