    Protecting Chrome in Florida

    Hey Guys,
I have a friend who is moving down to Ft. Pierce,
he is concerned about the chrome on his HD, here in Upstate NY our riding season is pretty short, but down there between the salt and the year round riding we were both thinking he needs some serious chrome polish & sealant to keep everything looking good.
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Mike

I'm not Mike, but I would recommend Opti Coat

If you want to have the best protection Opti Coat is worth looking into. I can't remember for sure but it must be valid for chrome as well.... hmmm, I need to use it on my SKy chrome!

Edit: looks like Flash has you covered.

Btw: practice once on something else before applying it to your chrome.

Opti-coat might work too ..... I remember bikers use Blu-Job on chrome to polish up and remove bluing.

I would highly recommend Sonus Chrome Polish to cut, polish, and seal.

For a more permanent solution I would recommend correcting with Sonus Chrome Polish then an ISO wipe down followed by Opti-Guard.

I put it on all the chrome on my Malibu, seems to be holding up well.

Well everyone has some great ideas as far as protecting the chrome on a Harley but to be honest Harley has one of the worst chrome on the market owning three Harley's in South Florida and now on my fourth it's an up hill battle . The dealer suggested to to me to install a AC unit in my garage and also use a De- humidifier . I'am not going to do either but going to try Opti - Guard this time around .

Thanks Dwayne! I was particularly referring to making sure he knows how to apply and what to expect before moving to the main stage.
