Best rust converter(s) spray or brush for quick dirty jobs
What are the best 1-step rust converter products available for use when you don't care enough about the project to fix the rust? In other words, what can you spray or paint onto surface rust (not rust-through or severe pitting/flaking) that will stop/slow the rust for more than a few weeks or months? I've used a few and never found anything that I would call effective. Obviously the best thing to do is surface prep and rust bullet or POR15, but I'm looking for something that soaks into the metal and converts or seals it and is generally effective for 6 months or more.
Thank you,
Joel

I dont of the best 1 step rust converter but walmat/autozone sell some locally, but for rust removal oxalic acid(wood bleach) is some very good stuff.

Eastwood's Rust Converter works better than any OTC product I've ever tried.

Thanks guys, I will be checking all these out to see what fits the application best. Looking for something paint-safe for the surrounding area.
