can a new coat of sealant or wax be applied over a recent sealant without claying if paint is clean?

    i guess I should've elaborated more.

An easy way to see if you need to clay is to put a plastic bag over your hand and run it along the paint. If it snags, you have to clay. The last thing you want is to get debri stuck in the applicator and dragged all over the paint.

I'm not sure "snag" is the right description. "Snag" would be a particularly bad spot. However, rough would be perhaps a description of an area that need to be clayed. I hope I am not being anal.
