| DG #101 and # 105
Just bought the DG #101 and #105 at AG, i can apply the DG # 101 with my PC? if i then use the DG # 105 after, should i apply this by hand (some cleaner in it), or can i use the PC on a lower speed? Do i give myself extra work by doing this, should i only use 1 of the products and top it with a glaze?
Is i possible to use the Megs MG #21 or the P21s canauba wax to top DG #101/105
Truls

DG#101 by PC, #105 by hand. Thats what Big AL said. Next time I'm going to do that. I used my PC last time, I done a detail with #105. Put on the #105 and let it set for a least 1 hour, then wipe off. Then top with A/W.
If you want to top with wax, IMO P21s or S100 has a better look. And you may like Megs #21 look better.

Not many people use DG #111? Isn't that more of a sealant than #105?

DG says #111 lasts for 6 months, and it's a pure sealant, no cleaning agents, which I like. Also 1 gal. of #111 is under $56 from Duragloss |

You can do the 101 with a PC...use a finish pad or a light polish pad..it has miro abrasives and a heavy cleaner....after 24 hours use the 105 apply by hand....go thin..after the applicator is primed it will spread fpr ever..I use the polish pal with the black pad..or a Meg's yellow foam pad..I find the MF pads suck up to much product...
The 111 is a good sealant but is not as good as 105...do not get me wrong 111 is very good..gives a zaino look and feel...and is very durable...but the 105 is there newest sealant...came out in june..and uses newer types of polymers..The 105 gives a more deep wet look...adds some nice depth...
..they are also working on a newer type sealant...and still in the research stage...
also the cleaner in 105 is very light...to me it is not a true type cleaner...but a surface prep cleaner....road film and contaminants a shampoo will not get off...

How long will 105 last? I'm looking for a durable sealant. DG #111 is quoted at 6 months.

AI-53 seems like our go-to guy for all of our DuraGloss questions. Thanks bro for helping us all out!
I bet you have a nice collection. Post a pic or two for us!

the 105 will last longer than 111...cars I did in June..look as good now as the day 1....The DG chemist told me that their tests showed 105 lasted 6 months under the severe tests they did....chemicals..washes alkali and acid cleaners...and the elements....these guys..Bill and Jerry owners and both chemists..are pretty straight shooters...always feel free to call them...they will answer questions and tell you about the products...Jerry is the more hands on Guy....
here is a letter he sent me after I did my truck with my routine....I do not think they are use to the way we do our cars....lol....I used 3M and Menzerna as my polishes and got the paint to a wet mirror...and put 105 on after..and sent him some pics as he wanted to see how there product looked after a pro polish
What great pictures Alan! I doubt anything can top that shine and durability. Pictures are as sharp and crisp as you will see coming thru an email. I really enjoyed talking to the man that was responsible for lighting the fire on Duragloss Car Care Products. I hope you will keep it going by spreading the word. You are a perfectionist in every manner. God Bless Alan and let me know if i can help you in anyway. Jerry 800-638-7245
So I am very pleased with there products...and I have found ways to bring it to its best...When ever I want to try something different..like mix water and AW for a summer mix I asked...putting a little AW in the fast clean and shine I asked....so I do keep in contact with them...
I have played with a lot of sealants 99% of them the boutique stuff...they are not bad mind you..but the DG was the best for me....

Thanks for great answers both sparkie and Al-53.
I had to chose between DuraGloss or Collinite, so all the good responses regarding DG made me choose the DG. Need a product that can outlast the Norwegian winter (heavy salting and road grime) Neither DG or Collinite is to be found in any shops in Norway. We have harsh winters, but no carecare products to prevent wear and tear during the winter (exept Megs)
Just have to wait for the mailman to deliver, then hope that the mild weather will continue (its 10c now but it can fall to -15c) Have a heated garage, but its hard to wash the car in -15c
Like a kid waiting for santa.......im waiting for my AG delivery
