Need help with a sealant

So i live in the Northeast and car takes a bit of a beating (not garaged) I have never used a sealant but based on research done here it looks like the better option. What are the best suggestions for a sealant (I just bought a griots DA 6inch) - is it better to apply by machine or by hand -

Collinite 845 might be a good one for you to look at.

I usually apply by hand, except for four star upp. I have a designated gray pad for that.

With that handle it's a little difficult to figure out what your name is!

I live in the Northeast too, Rehoboth Ma to be exact, where do you call home?

OK, I have three sealants I like.

  • Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Paint Sealant
  • Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0
  • Poorboy's EX-P Paint Sealant

These all work very well and I use them on my own vehicles. The sealants today are mostly a synthetic formula and will give most if not all Carnauba waxes a run for their money any day of the week. I generally topcoat the sealer with something like Collinite 845 or Pinnacle Liquid Souveran. I apply all my sealants and waxes with a Porter Cable 7424 polisher using either a blue or red foam pad.

DP Poly-Coat has been very durable for me down here in FL. It's also super easy to apply and remove. Furthermore, it's quite reasonably priced.

Edit: Didn't even notice. It's actually BOGO right now. I'd get some more, but I already have two bottles!

I just used this for the first time the other day and I'm extremely impressed. After polishing a car out, there is nothing better than not having to buff off the LSP!

Stuff is SLICK too, one of the slickest I've used. Repels dirt/dust like a charm and can be applied to a whole car in about 10 minutes.
