D151 topped w/ sealant ok?

I am wanting to go over my truck with D151 and then top with DP poli coat. Would I need to IPA wipe between the 2 or go straight to the sealant?

Go straight to the sealant...

I've personally never walked out into any garage and seen a coating of car wax or a synthetic paint sealant all piled up on the floor surrounding the car because it slipped off.

Follow the manufactures directions. If a manufacture states their "formula" must be used over a clean surface that is free from any polishing oils or any other substances that may interfere with their proprietary protection ingredients, then you should follow their instructions. If the manufacture doesn't make any statements like this then don't take something very simple, (waxing your car), and turn it into rocket science.

Hahaha. I use this quote all the time in other related threads Mike.

Another option if your concerned with bonding, and IMO the one that makes the most sense, is to just use a dedicated cleaner for you polishing step rather than an AIO like D151. M205, Power finish, or many others should give a similar or even better result.

I lifted it from Mosca aka Tom B on the Miata.net and MOL forms...

Personally, I've found xmt 360 (similar type of product) to be an excellent base for sealant/wax. I bet that D151 is as well, you'll be fine.
