Honda - leather cleaning

I've searched and read several of the posts on leather maintenance. I use Leatherique for my BMW but....one of the posts, states that virtually all Domestic / Japanese leather is vinyl coated and that I should just use my lexol vinylex or 303. I'll go try the water test but want to be sure that I'm doing the right thing because using vinyl treatment on untreated leather would be a bad thing......It's a 2010 Honda CRV with the tan leather, which gets dirty quickly so I want to maintain it on a regular basis but am worried that I might use the wrong product. Can anyone help with this?

1Z Leather Care or Optimum Protectant Plus (aka Optimum Leather Care in 17oz size) would be my choices.

Don't really like Lexol products at all. I've got bottles of the cleaner, conditioner, and the 3 in 1, quite unimpressed. Good thing is they're cheap and available OTC though.

Do you happen to know whether the Honda Leather is vinyl coated? (I guess I should assume yes due to your reply but just confiming)

I would go with Pinnacle or Wolfgang leather cleaner/conditioner you will ove these products and it makes your car smell like leather

Wolfgang leather cleaner followed by optimum leather protectant. Awesome combo!

Eiszett LeatherCare, is was specifically designed for finished leather (coated) and most often used in automotive settings.

It is indeed vinyl coated. Woolite & water works just as well and costs less. Cut 6 to 1 with water.

So, Leatherique is not going to do much for Honda/Acura leather?

1Z leather care and optimum leather protectant have limited cleaning abilities. If you're leather is in good shpe, you can maintain it with these products. However, if the leather gets fairly dirty, you'll want to go with a dedicated leather cleaner(wolfgang, pinnacle, etc..), then follow with a protectant(optimum, 303, etc..).

FWIW, 90% of auto leather is treated(coated).
