M205 will remove what M105 left behind, but again will leave smaller micromarring. This is where a good finishing polish comes into play.
Yes, Ultrafine is a great polish and I agree that 205 needs to be followed up, but with using a PC, you can't use UF. You could use something like Menzerna 106.

Re: Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

I've heard of folks on here using P085RD with a PC. I don't know how it turned out for them though. My guess is that the pc doesn't develop enough heat and speed for the super fine polishes to truley break down the way they need to. When I go to my parents house ill test everything out with 105/205 witha pc and the same combo plus ultrafina via rotary ad show the differences

from what I've read, 85rd works fine with a DA, especially the newer ones. Ultrafina is better to use with a rotary.

Re: Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

I really don't know lol. I have only used Ultrafina out of the two, but when my UF runs out I might pick up the P085RD for $17 cheaper than the UF.

Also, my practice hood is a 2004 black Mustang hood. Perfect for this huh?

I'm pretty sure 85rd will work with a DA. I've never used it, only UF, but I think I've read about people using it. You will just have to work it in like crazy. Post up some pictures of the results!

Man, you can do so much more with a rotary, and in less time!! I may have to sell my Flex 3401.

LOL!

I guess I'll keep it if I end up buying a rotary.

Re: Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

You need more than just a rotary. If you use any kind of paint cleaner or apply any kind of wax by any method other than hand, you need a DA.
