There are some pretty nasty stories here! The worst thing I have ever seen car-care related was a student cleaning their car in the parking lot with a Swiffer (one of those floor cleaning ones with a spray nozzle), setting the pad down on the pavement, picking it up, and repeating until the whole car had been done.
It goes to show that improvisation has limits.

I hate to say this in a public forum, but a friend of mine's father cleaned ALL of the snow off of his 2006 Ford F150 Extended cab pickup with a snow shovel...then he was flabbergasted when I quoted him $350 to TRY to fix all of the damage he did. His truck will need some SERIOUS paint work repair.

What is wrong with some people. Dont they realize how important a car is . A car is there freedom. With it they can go anyplace they want to go , without it they can only go were there legs carry them. When I was a kid living in Chicago a bus would run every 7 minutes, now your lucky if you see one twice a hour. In the suburbs your lucky if you see a bus at all. With something that important you would think people would take better care on them.

Wax Daddy on YouTub is one of the worst!
Also, Expert Village has a few videos of a guy named Jose who waxes his Green Pontiac with what looks like Tissue Paper. The noise it makes when he waxes the car could easily make anyone on here go into convulsions

My old boss cleaned his dirty Mercedes with used Pizzeria clothes and windex.
Im talking doughy, saucy, rags with flour and crap on them

a nice polished car will take you anywhere a scratched/dull/swirl king car can too..... its how you look getting there that counts.....
