Pinnacle Souveran vs Wolfgang Fuzion

I haven't done any good product comparison experiments for awhile, but I think I'm going to start again. I'm going to begin with Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax and Wolfgang Fuzion Paste Wax. The test vehicle is a 2005 Corolla XRS in sort of a charcoal grey color.

First impressions:

Fuzion was a little tougher to apply and remove. They both were fairly easy, but the Fuzion bites a lot more trying to rub it off. The Souveran always comes off like butter.

Fuzion enhances the flake in my paint MUCH better than Souveran does. It almost made the side I used it on look bronze in the light. Once again, Wolfgang creates a product that provides an instant appearance difference.

Fuzion and Souveran both smell terrific while applying them.

This test begins today and will be evaluated every week for the next several weeks. I will be looking at dust attraction, durability, cleanliness (some waxes don't attract the dust and rinse cleaner in the rain than others), and appearance. The Driver side was waxed with Fuzion and the Passenger side was waxed with the Souveran.

I lined the car up with the sun so I would get equal light on both sides for the baseline pictures. The sun is pretty far south and it is tough to get direct overhead light this time of year. It is also a little hazy out there today, so the light was difused a bit.

Here are the initial Day 1 pictures for a baseline.

My Employee of the Month six months in a row approves of the shine. he assisted in the application of both products. Again, if a five year old can do it, then so can anybody else!

Looks good. Haven't done a test for durability, but I think Fuzion will outlast Souveran because of the added polymers

Re: Pinnacle Souveran vs Wolfgang Fuzion

Fuzion will outlast Souveran and the polymers do seem to enhance or amplify flakes. Souveran has a glow that Fuzion didnt seem to offer, but I feel Fuzion looks wetter initially.

Re: Pinnacle Souveran vs Wolfgang Fuzion

Comparing them side by side on this car didn't seem to show off many differences. Both sides looked really wet and just like a freshly waxed car should look. We'll see how they look a couple weeks from now when the oils from the carnauba have a chance to evaporate and we are left with the dry shine of the product.

I'm sure Fuzion will outlast Souveran, but what I really wanna see is if it will outBEAD Souveran...really wanna see beading shots side by side.

Thanks Supercharged,

I am curious myself ! I agree ,Fuzion will oulast Souveran because of the Polymers ! Apparently Fuzion sheets water rather than beads !

Do you have experince with this ?

I love the way the Souveran looks. I would like to see the difference with the Fuzion. Keep us updated....

I didn't do side by side comparison, so won't be able to tell. Fuzion does beads pretty well, and then sheets it off. But again, it doesn't rain in California much, so I cannot say right now.

Re: Pinnacle Souveran vs Wolfgang Fuzion

I doubt it is going to rain much here in the next few months either, but we are certainly going to get some pretty harsh weather. The snow, ice, and salt are going to be pretty abrasive and the durability of these waxes and their resistence to extremes is going to be tested. I'm not expecting a lot out of them, but maybe I'll be surprised. Typically I go for sealant protection in the winter, but I really wanted to see how these would perform in extreme weather conditions. I can't see much of a difference side by side right now, but if one wears off before the other then I expect to see something.
