Not real sure what you mean by "permanent polish." But that's ok, I like my 303, haha!
I can't speak for others, but I've rarely heard people using 303 on tires or rubber. It's more of a protectant for plastics and vinyl. Not really a "restorer" either like WOW or Black Again. I also use it a lot on customer cars for vinyl dashes and interior panels for those cars that only get serviced every few months.
I agree it's not the
best trim product out there, but it does it's job above and beyond for what it's designed for. And that's to prevent fading by blocking out UV rays.
