    Re: Soft black paint....

Scholls S20 Black works great on black Honda paint.

I've had great success on black Honda/Acura paint with Hyper Polish on a finishing pad.

Scholl honey spider pads also finish very well with essence IME... just as an additional proven option.

Try Groits One Step Sealant after the cutting, in most cases it should do the trick, however I just had the same issue working on a black Kia.
Only thing that worked for me was Mothers Cleaner Wax but wasn't doing a full paint correction.

How did you apply the ultimate? By hand or machine and which pad of by machine. Gotta get into my wife's black 14' accord real soon...but terrified by these black stories

I always use a machine polisher. Used a B&S Uro-tec White pad with my 15mm DA. A GG 6" DA or similar would have finished just as well.

    Re: Soft black paint....

Did our 2016 black WRX with WGTSR (orange LC flat) followed by WG Finishing Glaze (white LC flat) and it came out very nice (GG6). Was completely gooned with the 'ol Dealer Installed Swirls. Coated w/ WG Uber Ceramic hit with monthly Gyeon Cure or Gyeon Wetcoat application and has made it since April w/o instilling any more swirls despite my somewhat lacksadasial 1 bucket wash methods.

My 1 bucket does have a grit guard in it so I'm not a *total* heathen.

For the first 6 months before correction/coating the thing would get swirled if ya looked at it wrong.
