    Glass coating vs wax

I've been coating my rear windscreen with Collinite 845 and it does a nice job at making the water bead. The issue I'm having is that the water tends to bead but not flow off the glass.

I have a rear dash cam so like the glass to remain as clean as possible so the license plates can be captures. I'm sure the angle of my rear glass plays a factor in it swell but since the water beads I tend to get water spots. It's currently winter where I live so also looking for a way to stop ice forming on the rear glass on the cold mornings.

Would switching to a glass coating provide better results in terms of making the glass more slippery for the water and being more resistant to the ice sticking ?
If so can anyone recommend a glass coating ?

Thanks for all the help !

I've not used a coating, but I really like Aquapel. Lasts a lot longer than RainX and much easier to clean the glass after application. Whatever you do, be sure you get all the Collinite off before you lay down something else, or the new product won't bond properly.

I've always liked Aquapel, I've gotten over a year of beading on both vehicles with it. Kind of a pain to apply though but makes your glass slick as hell.
