    Winterizing Your Car's Exterior

I know we do not have to worry about this in Fla, but I am curious on what all must go on before winter to your car.
I have put a link to our experts info on the site, but I would love to hear what everyone has planned to "winterize" their own vehicle.
Do you put in rubber mats to protect your carpet, add an extra 3 coats of WG or double coat to protect the paint...
Let us know what it takes to get your car to survive winter!

Even though my car stays garaged when the weather is nasty, I still do some stuff for the winter. This year I will most likely switch from wax to duragloss 105. I also take out the oem floormats and put rubber ones in like you said meghan.

everyone should remember to keep on eye on tire pressure in the changing seasons, as they will fluctuate alot more during big temperature swings.

    Last winter I used PB EX-P (2 coats), and 2 coats Natty's.
This year it'll be DG 501 and 2 coats Collinite 845. I use PB EX-P on the wheels too.

My 20" chromies get put away and are replaced by the 18" oem's. I leave the rubber mats in all year long to protect hte carpet. The paint already has 501/601/105 and the occasional AW. I am going to add ONR this winter to the cleaning regime.

My Tacoma and Jeep will both get 2 coats of WGDPS and then 2 coats of Collinite #476. I might throw on some #16 for the heck of it. The rims will get DP Wheel Glaze. I'll be using DP Four-In-One to keep them clean.

Not looking forward to this again.

Hey that's not funny!! This is a reminder of what we're about to face in the not too distant future. Here's a few more of my local car wash. I use it to hose down my trucks once in a while. I walked into the automatic to get the pic (I'd never use that kind of wash). I know the owner and while I was taking pics she was using a screwdriver to try to break apart the frozen quarters in the change bin. She looked like Nanook of the North. It was pretty funny.
