    ONR changed my life!

I was very skeptical of ONR. I have publicly bashed it as being hype. Even after using it the first time it still seemed like washing with water.

But it has changed my detailing for good. I have to be honest with you. I lOVE polishing paint. I love it. I hate washing cars that much. Its my least favorite part of detailing. Most of the time Im fighting water spots as Im washing.

But ONR has shaved a good hour off my prep.

    Heres how:

I follow the instructions. I have a wash bucket that is measured out to 2 gallons exactly. I have a small cut thats measured out to 1, 1.5, and 2 oz. I put 1.5 oz to 2 gallons of water. ( yeah i know the directions say 1oz to 2 gallons but to each their own.)

I wash ONE panel at a time. first pass is the big stuff.
Rinse in separate bucket with a grit guard and ring out.
Submerge back in the ONR bucket.
    Wipe Panel again.
while that panel is still wet I clay bar the paint removing any bugs contaminants etc.
Then I wipe the panel one last time.
    Then......

And this is the best part

I take the back end of my filtered shop vac with a crevice tool and blow the majority of the water off the paint, out of the cracks out of the lights out of the weather stripping and then wipe dry with a clean microfiber.

    The results are incredible!!!!!!!!

This process has shaved a TON of time off my details. Most of the time you think I just waxed the car. This was and dry method produces ZERO spots, runs or otherwise.

I should mention that I bought a small handheld garden sprayer and filled it with ONR at the recommended dilution ratio. I will "presoak" the areas that are VERY dirty before washing this way.

Just wanted to share. This method has made washing actually fun. AND I have washed my 2 cars at NIGHT in my GARAGE the past two times with only a few drops of water on the floor.

    Thanks for reading.

    Re: ONR changed my life!

I bought some ONR a few months ago in preparation for winter. I've done around 6 washes with it, now that it's getting colder, and I get more impressed with it every time I use it. Not only does it clean well, save water and reduce the mess in the garage, but I swear it sheds dirt better than conventional wash soaps.
Six weeks ago I waxed my metallic red Olds daily driver with old-school Meguiars M16. I've washed it with nothing but ONR since. The original gloss has definitely diminished, but it sheds water and dirt just as well as when the wax was fresh. I can only attribute it to the exclusive use of ONR. If nothing changes my mind over the winter, I may be done with traditional car washing forever.

    Great, great stuff IMO.

I noticed you posted "Not my cup of tea" in my last thread about blow drying a car.

with all due respect, and I mean this in the most humble of ways, if you dont have anything positive to add to a thread (And a shared negative experience can be a positive contribution) why not just save it?

    Just an idea 0
