Re: Mike, you ever get the itch to wax that leg?

Mike, if it's not too forward of a question (and since Mindflux broached the subject), may I inquire as to how you lost your leg? I must admit, I have always been curious.

He stated in post #19. The boat ran it over and the prop got the leg.

He added that after CieraSL asked. It wasn't in the thread originally.

OK, I see it now. He must have edited his post, because that last part wasn't there the first time I read it. Thanks for clarifying Mike.

Actually, I would rather have people know than guess... in 1986 my Sanger V-Drive Drag Boat went over the top of me in an accident and the prop caught me...

A lot of people including my parents thought that after the accident I would for sure want to sell the boat but I kept it another 14 or 15 years. It wasn't the boats fault and it was too much fun to not continue going to the lake and blasting around.

The fastest time I ever clocked was 111 miles per hour in 12 seconds in the 1/4 mile on Dexter Reservoir in 1983

The guy that originally bought, build and professionally raced this hull clocked 122 miles per hour in 9 seconds in the 1/4 mile. That's flat out flying whether you're on land or water...

This boat is by far the most fun and exciting toy I've ever owned...
