    Deep scratch

Someone keyed the side of my sis n law's car. Looks pretty deep. Is there a way to fix that without going to a body shop for paint?
02 F-150 FX4. Got the goodies on the inside so the dings, dents and scratches are next. Still tuning for power. What gas mileage?

It all depends on how deep it is.If it went past the clear coat into the paint it would need to be repainted. There are some threads by Mike on how to repair scratches and also on how to make them look better.Post some pictures for a better idea.

Found this kit online. Its really pricey but looks well put together and would be helpful to fix things like this without a full repaint.

A kit like that doesn't match the paint they only use a color that's close. If you want to go that route this company uses the orginal paint to color to match.LANGKA Paint Chip and Scratch Repair

Just get some oem paint from your dealer and some 2000 and 3000 wet sandpaper and start reading some DIY threads. It's not very hard, just time consuming.
