How do you buff hood vents?

I have a '02 Dodge Viper GTS with two louvered hood vents? How do I polish those with a Griot's buffer?

I'm prepping the car for WG Uber paint sealant.

I'd rather hand polish those vent
areas with a yellow applicator pad...
rather than trying to polish them with
the GG's (or another) DA polisher.

Yes, getting ready for a coating, so prepping the car, will do the vents and a couple of other spots by hand.

Yes, I'm doing a paint coating. In the correction stage right now and then will follow up with finishing polish. After that it's Perfekt paint prep and then coating.
