Mike I need some help
Mike I Opti Gloss Coated my wifes new car. Looks fantastic except for a small area on the bumper. Somehow these are what look like water spots on the bumper prior to me applying the gloss coat. The area is only 4" x 2". How do i remove the gloss coat and spots and re-coat??

Gloss Coat can be polished off and the area can be re-coated.

Do you think I could do this by hand? What product would you advise and how long do I have to wait?

What do you have on hand for compounds and polishes?

I really don't have any compounds or polishes, new at this. What would be a good product to start with?

I tend to be a system guy, that is when possible, I'd rather work inside a system then hobble together a collection of products formulated by different chemists.
In other words, if you're going to use Optimum Gloss Coat then stick with Optimum products.
My guess is hand or machine application of Optimum Polish II would remove the Optimum Gloss Coat
Optimum Polish II - 8 oz
If working by hand, apply the polish first using a microfiber applicator pad as the FIBER will act as a gentle forum of abrasive working with the abrasives in the polish to remove the coating.
Then re-polish using a foam applicator pad to perfect the surface.
Then prep pad per instructions before applying the coating.

Wash
Clay Bar
Wash
Let dry overnight in garage
Spray and wipe with 50/50 alcohol / Distilled water
OptiGloss
I believe some water was hiding under the headlight and left water spots on the bumper under the light. Guess I missed them with the Alcohol wipe. There is another hitch. the spots are on top expel clear bra with the Gloss Coat over everything
