What method on new car
I just bought a new Black 2017 Corvette Grand Sport. What would you suggest I do to start out with cleaning and polishing it ?
Thanks,

It would depend on the paint condition. Are there dealer prep swirls in the paint? Do a baggie test to see if it needs to be clayed. If both of those check out do a 2 bucket wash or WW or RW then wax, seal, or apply a coat.
Congrats on the new Vette!

First of all, congrats on the awesome car! Post some pics!!!
And also, I second what Jeremy said It depends on the condition of the paint. Usually a wash, clay and light polish with a good sealant should set you on your way. There shouldn't be a need to compound a new car. I don't think I've ever taken delivery of a new car that the dealer butchered that badly.

I like Jeremy suggestion. However I'm not a fan of ww or Rw especially on a black car.For me it's the hose. Are you looking for simplicity or go nuts?

Drive the hell out of it for a couple weeks then worry about detailing it

You should talked with some professional detailers if you want to hear horror stories about new cars.

wash, clay, light polish, and then protect with your choice of LSP. i wouldn't worry about full correction at this point in season since the colder (winter) weather will be here shortly. what do you have as far as supplies including polishers?

Since you are asking, i'd correct the paint right away and coat it. Otherwise you will be fighting swirl marks week after week.
