Any ideas how to clean these up?

    Hello geeks~

Can anyone give any suggestions on how to polish these wheels? They've been iron x'd and cleaned and this is as good as they look after that process. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Honestly those look pretty etched I'm not sure you're going to be able to do much for them.

Kinda what I was thinking. It was an inquiry from a car club member but I've never seen the wheel in person. Based off his initial description I told him iron x cause he stated it was an alloy wheel with brake dust that won't come off. This is the first pic I've seen and I know brake dust isn't the issue.

^^^ I messaged the guy asked him the same thing. I apologize if this is vague. He lives about 2 hours from me but is going to be local this weekend and figured id ask you guys in case I have something that can fix these for him. If I don't I'm not going to waste either of our times. Thanks guys!

Power ball and some polish might get it. But if the etching is too deep....

    Where are you located?

Those wheels aren't hurt at all. Even hand polishing can bring about a mirror shine given enough time and effort.

Start with a medium cut product such as OTC brands Zephyr 40 or White Diamond. Both great cutting polishes that finish out near flawless. 3D also makes a good product.

I'm hope to find time today to play around with Duragloss's metal polish. Will send feedback here sometime today.

Are you thinking those are bare aluminum, VT? If so you are absolutely right, I just thought they were anodized or whatever they used to do before they clearcoated like they do today. They look (the finish) like wheels on a car I had in the 80's...I would look at the pictures but they are...ya know...those old kind of pictures in an envelope somewhere...
