never used the dp glass cleaner but IG has always worked for me and being able to pick it up OTC is a plus. i prefer the spray pump version over aerosol if it's available, but would use it if it weren't...

    Hi Larry,

Since this is your first post to our forum....

    Welcome to AutogeekOnline!

Both the DP and the Stoners work great. Most brand name glass cleaners work well, the trick to cleaning glass is having lots of towels on hand so you don't simply remove something off the glass in one place and then smear it onto the next section of glass you clean because it's on the same towel.

    Sane tips here....

Take a look at megs glass cleaner by the gal. It is bargain. My wife uses it in the house and I use it for cars and it is concentrated so I gal makes like 11 gals or close to that. I have no complaints and it is so much cheaper.

    Thanks for the replies!

    Mike, I read your article.

Question 1 - 1st wipe is with a dry towel? Won't that risk scratching?

Question 2 - 2nd wipe is with plenty of glass cleaner?

Question 3 - 3rd wipe is with very light glass cleaner?

Question 4 - Why waffle weave towels over standard MF towels?

Question 5 - It appears you use aerosol cleaners?

Question 6 - So you end up using 3 towels for every window. Totaling nearly 18 towels?

I think this addresses every possible question on cleaning glass I can think of. lol

    Thanks

I prefer to pump spray my glass cleaner (1Z). The pressurized cans like Sprayway tend to get product into the air/wind. I feel I have better control of the amount and placement of product with a pump sprayer.

"Question 6 - So you end up using 3 towels for every window. Totaling nearly 18 towels?"

Remember, each towel has 8 sides when folded

+1 for Meg's glass cleaner concentrate by the gallon. Works great and smells like grape drink lol.
