M105 Advice on easier removal

Hey guys, I just finished detailing a car with these two products (M105 and M205) and it was my first time using them. I was very impressed with the results but the only thing that had me stumped was it seemed the compound was very hard to remove most of the time. Did I use to much? Anyone with any tips on how to make this a little easier to remove it would be greatly appreciated.

Steps used w/ Porter Cable 7424
Washed, Dryed
Clayed
M105
M205
WGDGPS

Sounds like you over used the product. Did you first prime it and then just add 3-4 pea size drops?

Yes I did prime it and do have to admit it came off easier at first but after time the pea size amounts turn into to bigger amounts. I hope that I just over used it b/c the product is phenomenal, just a pain in the rear to remove.

Would working in the sun or on a hot panel make that happen?

You might be working it too long. Also, you need to wipe it off almost immediately after you turn off the buffer. Look up the kevin brown method. That helped me out tremendously.

Keep the pea size drops consistent throughout the application period and always apply the drops at the edge of the pad.

I appreciate all the help and responses. I did everything but the wash and dry in a garage so it wasn't the sun. I bet I worked it too long as well. How many passes is best? I used between 6 and 8 with an orange foam pad.

Thanks a lot for the reply, I have a feeling that and working it too long were the main culprits. I will concentrate on smaller amounts next time. Thank you.

You need to clean the pad on the fly or change pads.

Thanks for the advice, I actually cleaned the pads on the fly and used two pads.
