Freshly Repainted Car - How to care for it?

Hey all. My 2012 tC was rear ended last month. The rear hatch, bumper, and right quarter panel were all replaced and repainted. I know you have to take care of fresh paint differently than older paint.

What are my do's and don'ts? When can it be polished and waxed and all that fun stuff?

Fresh paint can be polished but not waxed for at least 30 days. If you are going to polish it make sure you are using a body shop safe polish such as m205 and then you can put some glaze on it to protect it untill you can wax it. Use m7 or equivilant

yup, no waxing for 30 days. This is to allow more than enough time for the paint to cure. Some argue it's not necessary however.

I had my bumper repainted and I opticoated it 7 days after the repaint. Paint hasn't fallen off yet

Thanks! I can wait, I just didn't want to go ahead with anything and screw it up.

I was planning on having it fully polished out and sealed before winter really hits.
