They may have similar results (Z8 and V7) but they are not very similar in application or physical properties, in my experience. Don't get me wrong - I like them both, but they have different uses.

I apply them exactly the same (spray on panel, wipe with one MF towel, buff with another MF), and they both have a glossy shine. Both are somewhat dust repellent. V7 flashes faster, is less temperamental on black (less streaking), and smells better.

I can't even begin to use V7 on black in the sun, it is a streak fest. Z8 works good in sun, smells good. Seems like my experience is opposite of yours, but either way, you are now saying they are different, too.

Z8 is a bit more tricky on a warm hood for my GT-R, but YMMV. Z8 is a great product though--it actually works pretty well off label as a quick detailer too. A bit more expensive though.
The original question was: is V7 like Zaino Clear Seal--to which I said that V7 is more like Z8 (wipe on, wipe off) than CS (wipe on, walk away). I think we can both agree to that |

I personally really liked z8 and clear seal. The look I got from clear seal was awesome. Z8 awesome too. I hVe just ventured away from the Z line to venture on to different products. Although I still have some
Clear seal!

Yeah we both agree they are good products with somewhat different strengths. And honestly, I probably spoke out of turn originally because I'm not even sure what CS is... |

The guy sprays it on the MF then rubs on. It seems like a product that goes on thin and most likely you'll be using it on a pretty clean vehicle. I also can't imagine most products being easy to use in the sun.
Well, my products are in. I'm not sure I want to brave the 115 degree heat to put some work into it, but we'll see. I'm also incredibly tempted to pick up a porter cable and work on some scratches. hmm.... |

It comes and goes.. lol. When I had the darker colored cars, I went through a ton of different products. It's always been by hand. Since then, I've driven silver cars and my primary has been a work vehicle. My latest work vehicle has been my first since becoming owner so it's back to caring more about keeping them looking good.
I'm very intrigued by going machine - I just wonder if it'll make a huge difference on the Silver vehicles minus some minor repair. Both vehicles have minimal swirls unless I'm just completely missing them. DSC_0013 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! (going to have to figure out how to embed Flickr) car-TS | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
Autoglym SRP - Autoglym HD Wax (wasn't happy with amount of dust, and longevity)

Speaking of CS earlier has anyone topped that on non Z products. I have some left and will have souveran on both vehicles. I loved the look of clear seal as a topper even after z8 which I'm going to purchase some v7 for replacement
