Congrats on your new ride Dave but know this, the Klasse will make your Ram shine great, so great you'll see the excessive amount of orange peel in the paint too, sorry to say but as soon as you said what type of truck it was its the first thing I thought of. I'm sure everyone wants to see pics of it when your all done, atleast your getting on it right away, key with any vehicle, especially black!

It's not orange peel, it's PIAE (Paint Induced Aerodynamic Enhancement). Mythbusters review

Maybe I got lucky..... | Well you must have because every Ram I've ever seen has HUGE amounts of it, really stands out to me but then again, maybe the new ownership of Chrysler has really listened and/or noticed these things and have done their homework, good for you Dave! How about some pics?

Looked at the photos in the other thread - looks good!
But I see the orange peel, even in the photos. On those that are a bit closer, look at the edge of the reflections of straight lines - the jaggedness you see is because the paint isn't perfectly level. The first photos is a good example, because you can compare the reflection of the side-view mirror in the paint to the reflection in teh window - you can see the window reflection is much more accurate. Note there really isn't anything you can do about this (short of wetsanding the whole car, a bit crazy).
Believe me, I'm an expert as seeing this, as I curse the water-based paint BMW uses (that contributes to this significantly), every time I wash/detail my car....
was talking to the paint manager at the best local body shop in town, and asked him about it....he said he's seeing orange peel on lots more vehicles now as a result of the efforts to be green....

Gotcha, one of the nice things about not being an expert is a don't notice as much and it just looks good and shiny to me!

And I'm far from an expert, I meant I'm an expert at noticing it now because my car has it so bad....now, my wife's Lexus is flat and smooth like glass. Makes me crazy.
Anyway, looks great!

I know this is a bit of an older thread but I just used Klasse AIO for the first time this past weekend. Applied it using my PCXP with a white hex logic pad. Turned out great but I found the removal to be a little tough. I wasn't quite sure how long to work it before wiping off. Do you work it until its almost gone or do you wipe off while it's still wet looking? Used it on a 2011 that had been freshly washed with CG Citrus wash at striping strength and clayed.
