Hydro-tech low profile pads are what I use and love them.

I use lc flats and get great results on my soft paint with Menzerna polishes

Flats, HT and VC pads! Love the VC pads but too bad they aren't sold on AG.

So far I like the flat pads the best. Their smooth texture combined with the "thinness" of the pad make them very efficient.
I have some Hydro-Tech pads but haven't tried them yet.
