I would like to know what to use on that white stain as well.. Many friends suggested to go with HF (hydro floric?) it's an acid so if i may get a second opinion would be great thanks before
I've seen stains very similar to that before. I usually see them around the windshield wiper fluid dispensers on the hood. I typically just take them out with polish or compound. I guess it depends how bad they are.

Where do these stains usually come from? I would understand if the affected area is near a possible source of chemical leak or something, but mine is on the roof, I don't understand what caused that.
Werent you the guy that had damage to the front from a NYC snow plow? I would suggest moving if you want to keep that thing nice.

I don't have an Ultimate Compound, although I have the Megs 105 & 205. I believe those two should work nicely as well. Yes I did get a polisher! I got the GG 6" Polisher with a set LC CCS pads.

For both defects start by using the M105 by hand with a microfiber applicator pad.
Why?
Because you can exert more force with a few of your fingers pushing down on a microfiber applicator pad than you can with a foam buffing pad on a DA Polisher.
Remover or improve the defects as best as you can by hand and the re-buff by machine to remove any fingermarks you may have instilled.

I figured there was no chance to get a "New Yorker" out of New York. I was just messin' with ya.
105 is very similar to Ultimate Compound. UC is a little easier to work with, but, similar cut. The 105/205 combo should work just fine.
