need some advice.

I was able to get a few products for cheap:
Meguiars #7 Glaze
Meguiars #26 Yellow Wax
Meguiars #9 Swirl Remover 2.0

I recently purchased a Meguiars polishing Kit with the 105 and 205. I found that using the orange pad with the 105 in pad areas then following with a white ccs pad with 205. Gave some great results, see my other thread, James really helped me out.

I still have some areas that need a little more correction. I have some spider swirls that need to be removed.

Im going to order some products that James recommended, so I would like to hear what pads I should use with the products I listed.

My question is what pad should I use with each of those products?
Vehicle is a 2003 10th Anniversary Mustang Cobra. Color is black.

Have you tried an extra pass with the 105 to level the surface down to the bottom of the defects? Then you can just use 205 to finish out the paint with no hazing or swirls. For even more gloss, you could use 205 with a black pad.

I tried that, I had lots of issues with holograms and swirls.

We found that the M105/205 combo just was not finishing as nice on his vehicle as Megs D300 and MF cutting pad followed by Mothers Professional Foam Pad Polish on a white pad. We tried the D301, but it left us with hazing.

While I am sure we could have achieved good results with the M105, the workability of the D300 just made things so much easier. That is why we went the MF route.

I would like to use those other products since I got a deal on them. Just needing some advice on pad choice for each product before I place my order with autogeek.

Personally i would say use a white with the #9, a grey with the #7, and a grey, blue, or red with the #26. However, I don't think the #9 is going to provide enough cut to get rid of the problem areas. Switching to a tangerine hydrotech pad could help instead of using the white pad. I have very limited experience with hydrotech pads though, so maybe someone else can chime in.
