Porter Cable XP ?.

Ok, let me start by saying hi to everyone.

I bought my 7424xp back in DEC 09. The machine was running really well for the first two months I'd used it. Around the Feb. time frame my XP seemed to bog under any type of pressure I applied to it. Even under setting six it stopped spinning. Needless to say that I sent it for repair, but the same problem persisted after repair. I contacted Porter Cable again about the issue and they gave me a complete new one.

Now, I have a new XP, and my XP does not spin while it is on setting 1-4. Just the weight of the machine alone bogs it down. Settings 5-6 the machine behaves the way it should. I think. At first I thought I was using too long of an extension cord, so I connected it straight to the wall and I'm still have the same problem. I would like to know if it is user error or what? I bought a Flex while the XP was in repair and I have no problems there. The Flex is amazing, however, I still want my XP to work properly.

Thanks in advance.

Send it back as I have one and it works flawlessly .You just seemed to have been unlucky to get 2 bad units

Re: Porter Cable XP ?.

That is what I was thinking, but I also thought the chance of having to bad units was very rare.

No I did not. I had no idea I suppose to add or install anything on to it. I'll look into it.
