Buy the most expensive one you can afford that you still believe is portable enough for you to load and unload by yourself. A good general rule is if it will pay for it self in under 20 uses it is probably affordable ! Buy the Crevace tool you will use it. Don't get a hose shorter than 12 feet and it should really be 15 at a minimum (for proper use in large SUV's).

I too needed it to be very portable so I opted for the AZTEC HOTROD . I have been very satisfied .It has 16ft hose and a 50ft powercord. If I had more space I would have gotten a MYTEE unit but it was for the space I had available

I had a Durrmaid and was very disappointed with it. I sold it for a steamer and have never looked back.
Mytee would be my choice if you can afford it. I never liked the idea of machines that don't have an in-line heater.
I hear the Aztec Hotrod is good, but haven't used it.

I hear the Aztec Hotrod is good, but haven't used it. | What steamer did you buy? I'm looking for one of those too. Was looking at picking up a Durrmaid Super 1600 but now considering the Hotrod. Decisions decisions...

From what I have read about the Durmaid it is not the machine to buy. I have a Aztec Hot Rod Hot Spotter. 3 years old,to date. Inever had any trouble with it. The tip clogged from hard water once. Great investment, because I'm fully mobile!
