2009 dodge challenger

Hi everyone.
I've been a registered member for almost a year now and I've read the forums extensively. Thanks to everyone for their knowledge.

In Jan. 2009 I picked up my new Dodge Challenger. Been waiting a long time for this purchase. I requested that no one at the dealership prep it. It had 6 miles on the odometer and had been in a show room. Didn't want any grease monkey washing in swirls before I got it.

So I started gathering info on how to care for the finish before even touching it. It was nice to have a beautiful car like this in the bright day sun and not seen even one swirl.

I bought all the right products & equipment to wash and clean it. (all from auotgeek) The products work as described and now it's time to take some pics and post them.

One thing I can say is that it's easier to start with a perfect finish and keep it that way instead of bringing an abused finish back to new.

My wife's car (2005 SLK350 mb) is my test car for what the products can do.
It's not in bad, bad shape but has some swirls going on.

I've done a little work on the slk350 hood with Wolfgang products and they have preformed well.

Have to finish my lighting in the garage tonight. My old floresent lights have died on me.

ok, all for now. Pics to come within the next day or so. Any comments are welcome.

Re: 2009 dodge challenger

Congrats on the new car and you're right, it's easier to start with a finish in excellent condition than it is to have to undo someone else's hack detailing work.

Pretty awsome.

I've seen some pretty wild mods on these cars.

Re: 2009 dodge challenger

I've uploaded a few pics of the '09 Challenger in the member's gallery. None show any great close ups of anti swirl paint. I've got to refine my pic technique, but at least you can see that the car does exist. It's in my "Work in progress" garage.

One of my project cars is the one you can just make out in the far back of one of the pics (pic #5) It's a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. I had it since new, wifes car. Man does it need a make over. It has been an outside car all of its life and never detailed. It was a tool to get my wife back and forth to Pharmacy school. As you can see, now she has moved up to the SLK350. But the old grand am is in the garage for engine do-over and make up.

I'll take some better pics of before and after.

All for now.

Wow! Love that car.

That orange/black color scheme is the only choice IMO.
